ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- A citizen of a country other than China and in good health both mentally and physically
- An academically excellent holder of intermediate 12 years or its equivalent when applying for an undergraduate program
- An academically excellent holder of a bachelor's degree for 16 years or its equivalent when applying for a master's program
- An academically excellent holder of a master's degree 18 years or its equivalent when applying for a doctoral program
- The minimum required HSK level is 3.
- English Language proficiency certificate. IELTS, TOEFL (not mandatory)
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- A scanned copy of the Passport Information Page
- Diploma and certificate of highest education (notarized photocopy).
- Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy).
- Certificate of language proficiency. Minimum HSk level 3 for the Chinese-taught program.
- English language proficiency certificate acceptable for English major taught.
- Study Plan/Research Proposal for Undergraduates no less than 200 words and for Master and PhD no less than 1000 words.
- Two Recommendation letters.
- Non-criminal record certificate.
- Acceptance Letter (optional)

DURATION
The Chinese government scholarship covers both major study and Chinese language study. The Chinese language lasts for one year, whereas the duration of the major study conforms as required.

There are three categories
TYPE A. (apply via embassy)

TYPE C (apply through other sources)
TYPE A
- Tuition fee

- Type A scholarship is an Embassy track scholarship. You can only apply to two universities through the Type A category.
TYPE B

- Type B scholarship is a university recommendation or self-recommendation track. Through Type B with new and updated CSC policies, you can now apply only for 1 university for 2024-25 sessions.
TYPE C
