This is a Pre-assessment procedure for non-EU students applying for a visa to access Master’s Degrees taught in English while residing abroad

  • To create UniGe credentials, you will need to register by providing your username and password. It is important to fill in all the fields accurately, exactly as shown on your ID (passport or, if not available, national ID card). If you have a compound last name (surname) and/or first name (given name), make sure to enter all last names and first names on your passport without using dashes and dots. Additionally, be careful not to switch the order of the last name and first name fields. In case one of the two fields is empty on your passport, use an X to fill it in. Any errors in the registration process may cause a delay in the services offered, so it's important to ensure accuracy when filling in the fields.

  • Once you have created your credentials, the next step is to submit your application on the UniGeApply portal. Simply log in to the portal using the link provided and begin filling out the application form. Please note that for students applying for a Master's Degree in English, the pre-assessment phase is a mandatory step that must be completed.

  • To complete your application, please ensure that you fill in all the required sections and fields. Begin by selecting the course or courses you wish to apply for. Keep in mind that you can apply for a maximum of two courses. To do this, check the courses marked with "EN" (in English) in the master's degree section, or use the list that will appear during the application stage, which only reports the Master's Degrees in English.

  • Next, verify or enter your personal information and qualifications as required. You will also need to upload a scanned copy of your ID and a photo.

  • Depending on the course(s) you have chosen, you may need to upload additional documents. All necessary documents, both mandatory and optional, will be automatically requested based on your course choices.

  • Finally, please fill in the additional information section, including the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of your Bachelor's Degree that you will use as an entry qualification for the Master's Degree.

  • Pre-assessment is mandatory for non-EU countries students.
  • Save each page of your information

Submitting your profile and documents for evaluation in the pre-assessment phase is crucial to ensure that your application is considered for the next stage. Therefore, it is important to keep an eye out for the notification email with further instructions. Once you receive it, you will be able to check on the status of your application, which could be one of the following states

Accepted: Congratulations. Your application has been accepted, and you are now eligible to enroll in the course. Please note that this receipt serves as your letter of acceptance, and you will no longer need to request one from the Embassy/Consulate.

Conditionally accepted:  Your application has been conditionally accepted. However, there are still some curricular requirements that must be met before you can enroll in the course. Please ensure that you fulfill the necessary requirements as soon as possible to secure your spot in the program.

Rejected: We're sorry to inform you that your application has been rejected because you do not meet the course entry requirements. We understand that this news may be disappointing, but we encourage you to explore other opportunities that align with your current qualifications.

Next step

Congratulations on being accepted or conditionally accepted! The next step is to proceed with the pre-registration phase on the universitaly website. This platform is used to submit the visa application procedure and it's where the University will validate your application and send it to the Embassy/Consulate. Please note that the universitaly portal is external to UniGe, so you'll have to upload all your documents again. It's important to keep in mind that if you're accepted for two courses, you'll have to make a choice, as you can only apply for one course of study at the universitaly. We wish you the best of luck in this exciting next phase of your academic journey

Last step

Once you've completed the pre-registration phase on the universitaly website, the University will validate your application and send it to the Embassy/Consulate. Please keep in mind that at universitaly, you can only apply for one course of study.
